#39 Foster Elementary
December 2, 2013 by Mary Daly

Foster Elementary in the Sweet Home School District hosted the Tooth Taxi for its first site visit back in 2008.  It was easy to return there last week; they understand our program and accommodated the Tooth Taxi on a last minute schedule change. It was a very cold week threatening snow, which hit on Friday. Dr. David Carneiro joined the team at Foster.  The Tooth taxi plans to return in February as there are many students deserving of our care.

From the kid gallery:
A student saw the fluoride varnish and asked, "Is that ear wax?"

Realities from the road:
With freezing temperatures, it is great to visit a school that has a plug-in for us!  They put it in specifically for the Tooth Taxi back in 2008.  That guarantees a warm van in the morning and non-frozen pipes!

Other notes:
52% of students screened needed treatment
48% needed no treatment.
