| DFO Community Grant Program |
Effective, January 1, 2013, The DFO Community Grant Program no longer accepts unsolicited proposals for funding.
The Dental Foundation of Oregon Board of Directors will provide grants to nonprofit dental clinics/programs to support dental care for children who are disadvantaged and do not have access to care. Projects that demonstrate local support, including support from dental and other health professionals, will receive preference. Consideration will also be given to programs that support dental education and teach children and parents the benefits of preventive dental care. Since its inception, the DFO Community Grant Program has provided over one million dollars to support dental care for the underserved in Oregon.
Letters of Inquiry
The Foundation will accept Letters of Inquiry from February 1st to April 1st annually. The DFO Program Committee will review all submitted Letters of Inquiry and organizations selected to submit a full proposal will be notified no later than April 15th. A Letter of Inquiry should be no longer than two-pages, and should include a brief description of the organization and the project, a statement of project timelines and outcomes, including the number of children served, and the total cost of the project. Do not send marketing materials. Letters can be sent to the DFO via mail, PO Box 2448, Wilsonville, OR 97070 or by email: Foundation@SmileOnOregon.org.
Letters of Inquiry submitted prior to or after the above noted dates will not be eligible for consideration.
Application Timeline
Organizations selected to submit a full proposal must deliver a completed application to the DFO office no later than May 17th. Grants are awarded in July.

Grant Evaluations
The Dental Foundation of Oregon requires grant recipients to submit one grant evaluation annually. This evaluation is submitted at nine months post receipt of award.

GRANT CYCLE
Letters of Inquiry are accepted from Feb. 1st to April 1st annually. If approved for a full proposal, applications are accepted April 15th to May 17th. Grants are awarded in July.
GRANT RECIPIENTS
Each year, the Dental Foundation of Oregon supports a variety of worthwhile community dental programs. By funding these programs and endeavors, we are able to provide dental care to children in need throughout the state.
