DFO Community Grant Program
DFO COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT
12/1/2013
The Dental Foundation of Oregon Board of Directors is working on a new long-range strategic plan. As part of that process, we will be evaluating our programs and services to make sure we are maximizing our resources and efforts on behalf of Oregon children. The DFO Community Grant Program will NOT be accepting any Letters of Inquiry or proposals in 2014. As we go through the long-range planning process, we promise to keep you informed about our goals and activities.

If you have any questions about this please contact Executive Director, Charlie LaTourette, at the DFO office at 503-594-0881

The Dental Foundation of Oregon Board of Directors will provide grants to nonprofit dental clinics/programs to support dental care for children who are disadvantaged and do not have access to care. Projects that demonstrate local support, including support from dental and other health professionals, will receive preference. Consideration will also be given to programs that support dental education and teach children and parents the benefits of preventive dental care. Since its inception, the DFO Community Grant Program has provided over one million dollars to support dental care for the underserved in Oregon.

Letters of Inquiry

The Foundation will accept Letters of Inquiry from January 1st to February 13th annually. The DFO Program Committee will review all submitted Letters of Inquiry and organizations selected to submit a full proposal will be notified no later than March 1st. A Letter of Inquiry should be no longer than two-pages, and should include a brief description of the organization and the project, a statement of project timelines and outcomes, including the number of children served, and the total cost of the project. Do not send marketing materials. Letters can be sent to the DFO via mail, PO Box 2448, Wilsonville, OR 97070 or by email: Foundation@SmileOnOregon.org.

Letters of Inquiry submitted prior to or after the above noted dates will not be eligible for consideration.

Application Timeline
Organizations selected to submit a full proposal must deliver a completed application to the DFO office no later than May 1st. Grants are awarded in July.

Applications received prior to or after the above noted dates will not be eligible for consideration. For questions about Letters of Inquiry or Applications, please contact us.
